Below is an exert from an article, written by Bea Quirk at the Charlotte Business Journal (Jan 2, 2013):
“During a stint with the U.S. Marine Corps in the late 1990s, Matt Ewer learned discipline and the importance of structure. Today he has taken what he learned to create a thriving business in an industry many people have written off: custom homebuilding.
Last year, his Grandfather Homes completed 13 projects. They included restoring unfinished homes in foreclosure, rehab work for properties held by banks, building spec homes Ewer sometimes funded by himself and sometimes in conjunction with investors, and constructing custom homes for clients…”
“At the end of the day, you need clients to be happy,” Ewer says. “They are the best form of advertising.”
