23 Mar Home is Where the Heart Is: Chantilly
Although we are known for building all over Charlotte, our roots are in Chantilly. Several members of our team live in the neighborhood; on the weekends, you can catch us walking our dogs or out on an afternoon jog around the block. Our original home office was located off Thomas Street and our current office is just a hop, skip, and a jump away on Central Avenue. We are grateful to have the opportunity to continue building in such a progressive area.
Below are two of our most recent completed projects in Chantilly:
(Photo on left) The custom plan on Bay Street has created quite the buzz because of its distinctive white and black color scheme. Our Land Manager, Billy, worked closely Brian Mermans to articulate the unique design. Favorite thing about this home: interesting architectural lines creates tons of curb appeal.
(Photo on right) The Lorna Street residence began as a concept from hand drawn sketches by our general manager, Chris. He envisioned a truly open plan where the heart of the home – the kitchen, of course – is smack dab in the center. Favorite thing about this home: the deck has a spectacular view of Briar Creek Greenway.
Chesterfield Avenue will soon be getting a face lift, as last week a multiple offer situation resulted in a contract on a coveted corner lot. The home design is a spin on the popular Bay plan, introducing more of the craftsman feel that Chantilly is famous for. Favorite thing about this home: it will be the homeowners “first family home.”
We are always searching for new lots and opportunities to build custom homes in Chantilly and the surrounding areas. If you or a friend are considering selling a lot, contact Grandfather Homes at 980.219.7480.
